MizConnect
Connecting our community
More than just a vision..
MizConnect is more than just a vision for our wonderful Mizrachi Sydney community. It is also an action plan, to ensure that each and every member is cared for and is able to help others, so that we protect each other from feeling isolated or alone. If this past year has taught us anything, it is that being part of a caring community is protective of mental health and wellbeing. Being connected to others can bring joy in difficult times, and only add to our happiness in the good times.
Becoming a true community
MizConnect is our way of becoming a true community. To do this, we have created many avenues for you to let us know if you are going through a major life event, expected or unexpected, joyous or devastating, painful or just one where a helping hand would make a difference. Perhaps someone else can also let us know on your behalf – so this is for everyone in our community to understand and use. You can click here to get directly to a place where you can tell us what’s going on. You can contact Rav Shua direct – or any Board member or even any other shul member, and they can let us know. You can ring Natalie at the office on 02 9130 5973 , or you can find the MizConnect button on the website. Once you make that connection, we will reach out to you, and will try to support you as only being part of a community can allow.
Volunteer with MizConnect
MizConnect is not just for those who need our help. After all, connection is two-way! We offer you the same avenues to allow you to offer support. Maybe you would be happy to cook a meal for a family once in a while, or visit someone who is ill or just lonely, or make a phone call to support someone going through hard times. You can let us know that you are prepared to help from time to time (or even just once) by clicking here and registering your details. We actually are hoping that this will be a very full register, with most if not all of us reaching out our hands and saying that we are happy to be part of MizConnect, to support each other through the good and the bad times.
We believe that MizConnect will really distinguish Mizrachi from all other communities, as we connect across generations, supporting each other during the predictable life events and through the less expected and difficult times that we may find ourselves in.
